Louhintahiekka served as the project management contractor for the renovation of Järvenpää Central Sports Field, ensuring the project was completed within the target budget and schedule.
The main focus of the contract was the comprehensive renovation of the central sports field at Järvenpää Sports Park and the construction of adjacent sports facilities. The scope included the acquisition of a cooling unit, earthworks for the foundation of a new grandstand structure, and the construction of a new maintenance building.
We built a full-sized, FIFA-compliant artificial turf football field of 10,000 m2, complete with lighting and a scoreboard. The project also included a 7,000 m2 elastic-surfaced athletics track, a throwing area with a hammer cage, shot put ring, and javelin runway, as well as a TV tower for filming football matches. Additionally, we constructed a maintenance and locker room building, an outdoor gym, a playground, and bike parking for 90 bicycles.
The work included approximately 30,000 m2 of asphalt, 1,500 m of water infrastructure, and the completion of stone and landscaping work in the area.
The project was carried out in a dense urban environment with a school and daycare center located right next to the construction site.
