Louhintahiekka made significant strides during financial year 2023–2024.
Our revenue was 84.3 million euros for the financial year ending 31 May 2024, a slight decrease from the previous year. At the same time, our profitability improved significantly. Our EBITDA increased to 3.9 million euros, almost 300% increase over than the prior year. Operating profit also increased substantially, reaching 3.2 million euros, and our net profit improved to 1.6 million euros. These results were driven by a strong focus on operational efficiency, investments, and employee development.
Louhintahiekka worked on 47 different sites across Finland during the year. In addition, we made significant investments in equipment and machinery, committing to over two million euros in new investments. These investments will significantly reduce emissions and improve utilization rates, supporting sustainable development and operational efficiency.
Workplace safety is one of our key priorities. In 2024, our accident frequency rate was 7.1, an excellent result in the industry. However, we aim to further improve safety, with a long-term goal of reducing the accident frequency rate to below 5.0.
Investing in our staff has been a central part of our operations. We hired over 10 new employees during the financial year and continued systematic development of employee skills and well-being.
Louhintahiekka is on solid ground as it moves forward toward the future in line with its 2030 strategy: focusing on improving profitability, responsible operations, and continuous development of skilled personnel.
